Pelosi and Chiney Dragged To Court By Steve Bannon In Swift Turn Around!

Steve Bannon, who operated as the chief strategist for former President Donald Trump, is dragging Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats.

His attorneys have subpoenaed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the nine members of the House Select Committee investigating on January 6, 2021, as He gets ready to go on trial next month for resisting a congressional subpoena. As reported by The Daily Mail.

Steve Bannon’s lawyer David Schoen, asserted that the Democrats and others on the committee had confrontations that made them ineligible.

“From my viewpoint, It’s a party political misuse of the criminal system,” the attorney let out.

“It should never have been executed and it confirms to me that they’re not eager in listening to his testimony they were enthusiastic in creating a spectacle and intimidating people,” he said.

When the committee holds its hearing in prime time on Thursday, will get that sensation.

Last Friday, in Doug’s letter, House Counsel received the subpoenas but in an ironic twist letter, the members could move to have the subpoenas dismissed based on the speech and debate clause.

The debate clause and speech emerge in Article 1, section 6 of the United States Constitution and states that “for any Speech or Debate in either House, they [members] shall not be questioned in any other Place.”

“The subpoenas for materials owned by the American society”. “It would be very ironic for the committee to subdue the subpoenas when they issued a subpoena demanding materials from Steve Bannon, where Trump asserted executive privilege,” Bannon’s attorney stated.

But that is specifically the technique that Thomas Spulak a CNN contributor, who served as general counsel to the House of Representatives in the 1990s, believes the subpoenaed members will adopt and he believes they will prevail.

“In this specific topic I’m particularly optimistic that the staff members and members of the House would be safeguarded by the Speech and Debate Clause,” he stated.

“I’m very optimistic that defence would be upheld, and they will not be coerced to produce anything or appear for anything,” he stated.

Schoen stated that it was a “sad irony.”

“Here you have Bannon, who has been inferred by this committee for criminal prosecution for failing to acknowledge with the subpoena when the executive privilege was declared by the President, and his hands are wrapped, but then you would have the committee members declaring they refuse to testify,” the attorney stated.

“Their testimony and their documents belong to the American people and refusing to testify shouldn’t be their function.

“They want all the evidence to come out then come out and testify about them and produce the statements,” he said.

Schoen explained that there is evidence of some individuals who have conflicting interests, comprising some who are writing books on the January 6 research.

Rep. Adam Schiff is one example as he is composing the book “Midnight in Washington: How We Almost Lost Our Democracy and Still Could” which was published last October and the subpoena implores him to produce related reports.

“All documents in your custody which tend to show a disagreement of interest about any Select Committee member or staff (including but not limited to documents that pertain to payments for a book that was written by and/or promoted by any Select Committee member or staff from January 6, 2021, up until the present date),” it stated.

An additional book that referred to the events of January 6, 2021 “Unthinkable: Trauma, Truth, and the Trials of American Democracy,” both were written by Rep. Jamie Raskin, another committee member.

“on January 6, Going inside Congress he narrates the horror of that day, a day that he and other Democrats had spent months preparing for under the appropriate assumption that they would experience an attempted electoral coup—not against a President but for one. And still, on January 6, he suffered the one thing he had failed to anticipate: mass political violence designed to thwart Biden’s election. With an inside account of leading the team prosecuting President Trump in the Senate, Congressman Raskin shares never before told stories of just how close we came to losing our democracy that fatal day and lays out the systematic prosecution that persuaded Democrats and Republicans alike of Trump’s responsibility for inciting insurrectionary chaos against our government.”
